Shaping Futures: Hutchison Quarries' Commitment to Youth and Industry
We're excited to share our feature in the May edition of People N Places magazine, spotlighting our commitment to cultivating future talent and supporting industry growth in Southern Queensland.
The Scott Hutchison Memorial Traineeship in partnership with Warwick State High School honours Scott Hutchison legacy. The program is designed to support young individuals aspiring to enter the quarrying industry, providing them with valuable exposure and education. This year, we're excited to welcome Jackson as the third recipient of the program, joining current student trainee Claire.
The two-year traineeship offers flexible employment one day a week, enabling these students to balance work and studies. Alongside valuable hands-on industry experience, recipients also receive financial support to complete a Certificate III in Surface Extraction Operations.
This combination of formal education and practical, hands-on industry experience positions trainees as competitive candidates, ready to excel in quarrying careers. Hutchison Quarries believes in nurturing passion for safety and outstanding performance, embedding these values in the traineeship initiative that guides each student toward a viable and successful career.
At Hutchison Quarries, we're passionate about building futures and fostering a sustainable approach that drives community success.
